Octave Chanute to Wilbur Wright

Chicago, December 14, 1905

I have yours of 13th and herewith return your cablegram and clippings at once.

I believe that your local papers would now greatly appreciate your permission to publish some accounts of your performances. If they do, please send me the clippings. I think the President should also have copies of the papers.

I think you are wise in allowing some publicity to occur. I do not see how it can injure your pending negotiations.
