Octave Chanute to Wilbur Wright

Chicago, August 29, 1901

I enclose a 12th photograph which was overlooked in the lot which I sent you on the 23d.

I have been talking with some members of the Western Society of Engineers. The conclusion is that the members would be very glad to have an address, or a lecture from you, on your gliding experiments. We have a meeting on the 18th of September, and can set that for your talk. If you conclude to come I hope you will do me the favor of stopping at my house. We should have the photos you want to use about a week before the lecture in order to get lantern slides. The more the better. Please advise me.
